Perched slightly above 15 acres of vineyard in prime Napa Valley, this multipurpose pavilion was designed to entertain. The satellite building set apart from a larger, main residence, this space was intended to be a location to host large wine tastings, corporate off sights, as well as overnight guests. The many functional needs of the space informed the design choices which were made inside. Stone, performance fabrics in darker tones, and simple layouts were chosen to accommodate high traffic, large groups, and hold up against the intense climate, while also being comfortable and visually appealing. The neutral color palette references the surrounding landscape to create visual cohesion while textures and materials add layers of contrast. The layout was designed to be conducive to the indoor-outdoor living desired by the clients, providing maximum enjoyment of the beautiful Napa Valley landscape.
